Situation in flood-hit Terengganu continues to improve

KUALA TERENGGANU,27 Nov 2009: The situation in flood-hit areas in Terengganu continued to improve Friday, with all the 346 evacuees in the Dungun district returning to their homes this afternoon, leaving only 345 evacuees at relief centres in the Kuala Terengganu and Marang districts.
A spokesman of the Terengganu National Security Council said 331 of the evacuees were from Kuala Terengganu and 14 from Marang.
Most of the evacuees were expected to return to their homes Saturday, now that the weather was fine and all major rivers were back to their normal levels. Muslims at the relief centres celebrated Aidiladha Friday on a moderate scale. - Bernama
